  1. CNSE and JSPS Core-to-Core Program Joint Seminar

    The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) will host a joint seminar with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science’s International Research Center (JSPS) on Friday, June 8 at 8:30 a.m. in the NanoFab South Auditorium. The program will include technical paper presentations involving students and professors from CNSE, Tohoku University, and Nagoya University on the topic of “Atomically Controlled Processing/Nanotechnology for Ultralarge Scale Integration.”

    The boards of directors of the Capitalize Albany Corporation, Albany Community Development Agency, City of Albany Industrial Development Agency, and Community Resource Corporation, along with the City’s Division of Planning, gather to highlight Albany’s transformational programs, projects and partnerships at a showcase of the City of Albany’s development and planning activities. The meeting is followed by a networking reception.
  4. CNSE/CMOST Summer NanoCamp

    The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) and the Children’s Museum of Science and Technology (CMOST) are partnering to present a weeklong Summer NanoCamp. Participants will spend time at both CMOST and CNSE, where they will participate in hands-on nanotechnology-related activities.

  5. Tech Valley Summer Camp

    The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) will host more than 200 middle-school students as part of the Capital Region BOCES and Questar III Tech Valley Summer Camp. The students will spend the day touring CNSE’s Albany NanoTech Complex and taking part in hands-on nanotechnology activities.

    The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) will host the 6th Annual Small Business Expo on July 17. The event will feature a variety of guest speakers, including seminars by Google, and tradeshow tables showcasing small businesses that offer unique products and services for the small-business owner and area professional. A career fair will also be incorporated for businesses seeking to hire. This event is free and open to the general public.

  7. Safe Nano Design Workshop

    The College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) will be hosting the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) “Prevention through Design” conference on August 14 through 16. This three-day workshop will focus on the safe commercialization of nanotechnology-enabled products, as well as the development of guidelines for the safe synthesis of nanoparticles and associated products.
